Hungry? Wanna Get Some Tex-Mex?

We couldn’t figure out what to put on the bathroom doors instead of Men and Women. Hombres and Mujeres sounds a little formal. So we called our buddy Chingo Bling. He suggested Tejanos and Tejanitas.

The place looks like a restaurant now. We are testing recipes, burning in equipment and training waiters. I’ll save you a table.

The best one that I ever saw in Mexico for the bathrooms was: one had an “O” on it and the other had an “A” (for muchacho and muchacha).

When’s the soft opening? Can I have one of the golden tickets? I’m looking forward to some more of those tasty enchiladas you made us at the cooking class!

Well, when one gets to be my age maybe the doors should be marked “Abuelos,” y “Abuelas.” Or maybe they should say, “Apa,” or “Ama.”

Dropped by yesterday after work. (Yes, folks. The place is open for supper!)

Liked the Flaco combo plate a lot & look forward to trying some of the more exotic selections. Rice was a tad bland but beans & salsa were great; you’ve got to get the basics right.

Note to self: Margaritas are strong. In future, will avoid danger by having only one. No, the streets of Houston were safe; I commute via Metro. But Half Price Books is right across the street & far too tempting to a tipsy bibliophile.

Who did the fantasy posters decorating the exterior?
