Did Cafe Moustache borrow this salad on a pizza idea from Marco Wiles’s Dolce Vita across the street? Granted, it’s not the newest idea under the sun–neither is the beef stroganoff, trout meuniere, or beet and goat cheese salad on the lunch menu. Cafe Moustache is not about culinary innovation, It’s just a comfortable French bistro where you can hang out and drink wine. The space used to be SoVino wine bar, but owner Manfred Jachmich (of Ruggles fame) wanted to change the concept. As for the name, he claims he used to have a moustache.
Man… that looks good! Sprinkle some more cheese on the top would make it even better!
