Pizza has been one of my favorite food writing topics for more than 40 years. Dough Bros in Galway is my favorite local pizzeria, they source their flour from Naples, Italy, the birthplace of pizza.
My last pizza post from Italy documented an outstanding anchovy pizza I consumed in Turin. It was created in the northern outpost of a famous Naples pizzeria called L’Antica da Michele.
Next week, I’m heading back to Italy to visit the original location–along with a list of other famous pizzerias that vie for the title of the “Best Pizza in Naples.”
Wish me luck!
